Hey!
It can be done with a patern to! The point is that you don't have to mess around with inserts during the lamination, and search for them through the layer of cured epoxy, and clean the threads filled with wax.
With this kind of inserts you just bore, glue and screw.
The only minus is the price! 0.7 €/pc, so 7 €/board

Hey all,
I just ordered a 7 foot surfboard blank (blem) that im going to shape into a twintip. I have never made one before but i think i get the general idea. One major question though, well two actually: where do i get the foot strap threaded inserts and how do i deal with the holes for the fins (remember im building a foam board). if i just drill the glass and foam, ill get water in the hole and foam. it also seems like the screws might crack or crush the glass even if the holes are protected form water.

Also does anyone know of a good location to get various plans. I know roughly what i want, but i would like to see the exact number on what others have done.

thanks
Traveler
