I've seen people boosting a huge air on all kinds and brands of kites. I truly believe it's matter of a skill than equipment.

Exactly
There might be small differences, true, but compared to what skill and "knowing your gear" means - the latter contributes almost 100% to any "BIG AIR"
(hangtime is a totally different matter - but that was not your question, right ?)
Kindly, Peter Frank

I still think the Naish Torch was (when you know how it works) the best big air kite!! I've rided and ride a lot of brands... North Vegas, Raven, SS Fuel, REV, Bandit, Etc... I am also still thinking of testing the Eclipse Thruster 2009! Those guys always fly high... than with the right skills... you go unlimited
. I'll will post my opninion when tested it!
Big air is al depending on your own skills!

Hi
Higher Aspect Cation Kites offers more hangtime than lower AR Kites, as they have usually better Lift to Drag rations. Also higher Depower helps for Hangtime a lot.
Faster Turning kites are better to get more acceleration at take off.
I won 2007 the I think bigges Hangtime competition that happened so far. We placed the first
4 places from 46 with our
Silverarrow.
But is a personal preference if the extra float is loved or not.
Best regards, Armin

it is the skills for sure.
You will rather have differences in hangtime.
Armin, see you end of October in Cumbuco, Brazil for the Kite-Show. I will keep a slot for you!
Gonna be fun!
Greets
Toby
