From my point of view I think that a choice for an online education system for instructors is perfect, but why connect it directly to the membership of the instructor? I don't get it... Is buying credits and providing IKO lessons not enough to renew your membership every two year?
I also think that the IKO should first work on the basic things for running a business, like better support for instructors, being pro-active on forums and even their own online forum, create a better satisfaction/feedback survey for students (after they had a lesson), etc.
How the CEP's works (from the IKO website)
The Continuing Education program is based on a Points system, and requires every Instructor to earn a certain number of Continuing Education Points (CEPs) by the time his or her Pro membership expires (every 2 years). Points can be earned a number of ways, such as through taking online courses and purchasing Online Feedback Credits.
