Some of you may have seen my post some months ago asking for advice on long distance kiting and channel crossings. Thanks to a few people who have given me some valuable information, I have been able to put the planning starting blocks down for a 70 mile Charity crossing from Alderney to the Dorset Coastline.
I am aware there are some crossings planned by fellow kite surfers more Easterly up the coast and have spoken to 1 or 2 of them on guidance for planning and they are of the opinion this crossing certainly is a big one to tackle!

I have found HM Coastguard very helpful and have had a long meeting with them and continue to get advice on all health and safety aspects of the crossing.
