I just sold my FreakDog 15M kite.
I'm interested to replace it with a SS REV 15m 2008 or Naish Cult or Helix 2008.
Does anyone had an informed opinion of these two kites? I have heard they are both great kites but that the 2008 SS REV's in larger sizes are super slow?
Also, how about bar safety, depower, and relaunch?
Thanks,
Greg

The Rev is not my style of kite. Having said that, I thought the 11 was very fast for a larger, powerful kite. No idea if that speed carries through to the larger sizes, but I was sure impressed with the speed of the 11! Super easy to loop!

Try the '09 Waroo or the '08 Flow , both are good kites in low winds with fast turning and good bar feeling depending on the settings . The Cult and the Helix are slow on the turning compare to these kites and the Rev is similar to the Waroo except on price and construction , anyway give them a try first

First what is your weight?
How long have you been riding?
I own a full quiver of SS Revs and love them. My weight is 215lbs and I ride the 15 rev with my 666ext in light winds no problem. Flies great super stable and is a pretty quick kite for a 15, faster than most I have flown.
Are you looking for a light wind only kite what is your wind conditions like? Will you use it often?
The only other light wind kites that I would look at for my self are the North Rhino 16m or the 09 Griffin 16m. The griffin has a lot better low end than most on the market but the Rhino is close in low end but has a touch more speed.

15 REV is a good light wind kite. But don't take my word for it; Check the video out.
HD Vimeo video showcasing the ability's of the kite in super light wind.
