I was 280 pounds when i started kiting and what worked for me was an Ocean Rodeo Session. It converts from Seat to Waist and back with removable leg straps. Always used it as a waist harness though. I am down to 250 now and probably going to go with the new Mystic Warror 2, the one with the clicker bar.

What size kites are you flying? I'm 225 and just getting into the sport. I have been flying a turbo2 14m.

BINGO...same here. Can you try to find a dealer and demo? Its pretty hard to demo big man gear since not too many shops will unpack a new harness since there is a small demographic.

My original quiver was a 2007 Waroo 15 and Bularoo 10. Then added a 2007 20M waroo as well. Then swapped the 2007 Waroo 15 for the 2008 HP 14 and the Bully (LOVED THAT KITE) for the 2008 HP 10. Now the HP10 is gone and I have a Kahoona 9.5 and as soon as I demo the 13.5 Kahonna I may sell the 14HP. But the 2007 20M (Hot PINK) will stay forever. I have found that as i got better and as kite design progresses I can make due with smaller and smaller kites. I have ridden the 2009 Waroo 17M and I think its the same low end as my 2007 20M. Big board does more for you than a big kite.
