Nice to hear that somebody is kitesurfing in Jeddah. I had been in Jeddah at 2008 and at jully 2009 i will come back to Jeddah again. I was seaeching this sport in Jeddah, and nothing i found till this topic.
I had been addicted to do this sport. I am even not a beginner, but by the way i will do this with the correct way of education.
It will be perfect for me to learn if there is someone teaches kitesurfing in Jeddah or if there is some kind of school or something.
(I am a PADI divemaster and UW Photographer as a hobby and as my profisiency i am civil engineer.)

omg finally i find ppl who kiteboard in jeddah...
i have been looking for ppl in jeddah for like 6 months and i was losing hope.
i have tried to kite over at the open sea area's after the north private beaches otherwise known as "kabayen" but it was very bad ... the beach was dirty with glass and junk and tonz of rocks which are totally kite unfriendly... the winds were weak in the morining but pick up at around 3pm.
im still looking for better spots and it seems this post is perfect .. i will try the locations u guys posted after my exams.
im using a nemsis HP 14m with a noble T5 board... still a beginner though seeing how there are no schools or trainers here.. all i know i had to learn myself.
if anyone would like to kiteboard with me sometimes let me know !!

I will be in Jeddah from July 23 to 27 for business (I'm also a civil engineer). I won't be bringing my gear because I will not likely have a chance to ride. However if I get a break I would love to go kiteboarding near Jeddah. I'm happy to pay to rent or borrow gear. I am solid intermediate, ride non-directionals and prefer bow kites. I weigh 180 pounds. If anyone is around to help me, that would be great.

hallo thomas,
lg christian
