^^^^ dude jumping around on the beach is fun. I can see why someone would want to try it. Obviously you need to have good surroundings for it to be safe.

Just to give you an update
i have just bought 2 pansh kites.
i've been reading up on pansh and they are they sound like a good value money
i keep saying that i don't wanna spend a lot until i'm sure that i'll like the sport
so i got an Ace 9m & blaze 7m direct from manufacturer for $299!!!
i'll let you know how i get on

Wayne check out the Progression Begginner dvd... think its at fatsand.com-

They show a nice run-through of safety features and should get you a bit more clued up as to the safety aspect...

But more importantly, follow this forum and do some searches... lots and lots of valuable information... Especially in terms of safety.

Good luck...

ok guys.
all my knots are sorted. i read up and watched vids of launching/ landing/ jumping everything..
now i've taken it out twice now and haven't been able to get it off the ground.
i know i'm doing it correctly but there hasn't been much wind.
but i would have thought a kite this size (9m)still would have got some lift.
is there a minimum wind speed to take a kite out or do i still have to master the launching technique, or just wait for a windy day?

a 9m should fly in the air with any wind speeds above 10mph. If its really light wind you might have to launch the kite "deeper" in the wind window.
