keen observation, but willing to bet there is a sizable number that do! Having flown the EH's for sure enjoyed them, but once you've only had positive experiences with one pump kites, the thought of going back to pumping at times fussy individual struts would do my head in!!

forgot to mention the depower strap is quite nice with a pull for depower and a "lift up" for more power. Better imo than the below bar set up since they sometimes jammed up. Haven't used the depower yet of course with a 7m, but it's quality. 7m has great low end, but I really would like to try out the 11m soon for us "heavier guys" I think the 7m could be a one kite quiver for the under 70kg folks though...I'm still working on my gut.

Like ScottM i'm also spoilt with the one pump. With about 1 year experience i am looking for a light wind kite as well (10-13 knots) taking into consideration that my technique is not as good as an intermediate kiter. I have a 10 m Cab which I am only able to take from 14 knots off. For the past 2 months looking for a suitable light wind kind (me: 50 kilo's).Anyone a suggestion? The website of EH says that the Ovanda is only for experienced kiters (must be a reason for that). The other types on his website look like ordinary bow kites. mmm puzzled

Gee.. I don't think I'll try one because they don't come with pink pigtails...... after having flown a kite with florescent pink pigtails, I realize how convenient it is to see the pigtails from afar. Saves me at least 30 seconds from having to walk up to my kite just to check on 'em. Yup, gotta have pink pigtails or I wouldn't even dare to consider it....

at your weight, you probably won:t need a big kite, ever...have you tried a light wind board? They make a HUGE difference in light winds, and are easier to swap out than a kite, big kites kind of suck imo. just take two boards to the beach and swap out as winds increase/decrease.

btw, I didn:t find anything difficult about the ovando, but I wouldn:t suggest it for a total beginner I suppose.

I'm not affiliated with EH kites, buy all my kites/boards like everyone else and recently purchased a 7m Ovando.
I was waiting until I got to test it in good winds before posting.

as far as low end, steering speed and reverse relaunch

Honestly, I sold the Pulse pretty quickly so didn:t ride it all that much...wasn:t really to my liking. Turning is much faster on the Ovando, never relaunched the pulse so don:t know, and low end is better on the Ovando. but that:s just my opinion...my buddies love their Pulses, so horses for coarses I guess. really just different kites.

Not a truck but more like my car 450HP Impreza STI rally car... super stable, fast and predictable but needs an experienced rider...
