We plan to have a demo day for the new EH Ovandos this Saturday. This new kite designed by Eric Hertsens in Cabarete has generated a lot of "buzz"
Come try it out and decide for yourself whether this kite has as much power as kites 2 meters larger, turns very quickly anywhere in the window, and depowers smoothly over a very short distance.
Check out the posts on Kiteforum
viewtopic.php?f=1&t=2357931
Please suggest where may the best spot to have the demo. Please consider crowds, safety, as well as of course the wind conditions.
We will decide by Friday evening where we will be and post it here.
See you Saturday!
Kee

Hello Kee, You should have the demo in Hampton Bays, New York. Theres going to be great wind Saturday. We have bays with flat water and current, and ocean with wide sandy empty beaches. There are two local kiters in town. I would love to see more locals surfers getting into it. They might be happier people since the surf sucks here. HAHAHA. Or you could just go to Montauk, and have a shot at some waves.

What do you consider local, there are a few kiters that live WHB including myself, but dont do the demo here, do it at HB or montauk. Andy, have you ever kited at those islands by ponqouge bridge, drove by them yesterday looks like some sick flat water i might wana try out.

Yes I have. It "can" be a great spot to ride. Just check the tide, and make sure its wind against tide. You will have a blast. I have not ridden the East side of the bridge. I forsee to much danger/ problems that can occur, and lots of traffic. I would ride east of the bridge if I had a canoe to paddle to the sandbar behind oaklands marina. My post was kind of a joke, I don't think there is enough people here to make it worth your while. Montauk is different there are maybe 25 riders that I see often. That would be the place to show off some smokein hot new kites.
O and Bstevs My number is 401-952-7959 if ya want to meet up for a WHB to HB downwinder on the SW.

Hey Kee! ...your neighbor here in Cabarete ..Sean.
Good on you for rep'ing these great kites up north. They are multiplying like crazy here on Bozo beach and nothing but good reports!
L.I. was my old riding turf and I have to agree that MTK at Nappegue is your best bet for Sat. Its a bit of a trip but the forecast looks strong and there arent any access issues being argued like in the GSB. Also, if there is wind, a guaranteed 20+ kite-heads will be around.
Good luck w/ it! Wish I could be there to ride those Ovandos w/ ya.
PS - Give me a buzz when you get a min.

Hey All
We will be headed toward Oak Beach in the morning, there is a chance we will go to Montauk.
My cell is 573-587-2468.
We will do our best to get as many people to try the new Ovandos. If you miss us this time, there will be more opportunities this summer.
Hi Sean!! What's up?? Sure miss riding with you...

Lots of places to kite in RI and nearby Cape Cod. Fall and Spring are the best seasons.
