2nd Underground Kiteboarding Series @ Ocean Park,PR

This coming Saturday is the 2nd edition of the annual event held at Ocean Park , San Juan ,Puerto Rico . Everybody involve are very excited and waiting for this day to come tru as well for the ones who are going to ride in the different categories which include:

* Freestyle " Warfare"
* Big Air
* Kite Race

This is made in an effort once again for the benefit of the sport and our community , everyone is welcome to attend and/or compete , make sure you bring your family and everything else you need !!!

Freestyle Warfare" 1st place Xavier Lay
Cross Upwind Race" 1st Place Danny Alvarez
Big Air" 1st place Orlando de Jesus

Event Was excellent.. wind cooperated but not quite as we expected.. riders showed up ready to ride and hnoping to have a good time... Freestyle warfare was main event all of local riders showed excellent talent and good performance..Local rider Ivan Rodiguez came back to claim his title from last year's event but got away with a respectful third place in the freestyle division Eric Sanchez earned a respectful second place by stomping powered moves like sbend railey and other powered moves having the advantage o stomping all of his tricks and having other riders technical difficulties ..Also making his way up the laddler was Francisco Chuela who had an awsome performance with excellent execution of big air handle passes although he did well he had some technical problems trying to keep the kite from falling on consecutive moves but did a super good job followed by newcomer and local rider Paulo Diaz who made a super great impression on the judges by execution of powered handle passes like back to blind and sbend air pass and blind judges and back mobes.... with barely 2 years of riding under his belt.. alot of good things are expected from this Kid.by the locals. way to go unfortunately on the final heat his kite dropped and he couldn't get it together...

Overall event was great strong wind came in the afternoon perfect for the big air event who old school local rider Orlando de Jesus showed good style in big air category earning the first palce local Batucada came and gave life to the event by showing great musical talent of drums and bomba rythyms... expectadors and fellow riders were stoked on goodies provided by the event staff.. We expect great things to happen after this with this one being the 2nd of the Underground series @ OCean Park PR.. see ya next year.
