Eric and Toby need to sort this one out... I've heard people say; "
This is a public forum!!" Not. The public may be invited to play, but it's Toby's ball and he gets to make the rules for
his game.
The sad thing - exactly what this sport needs are the small, nimble players to keep the big guys honest.
More on the kite...
Another brand I like: Royal. I've had this 14 Era to go with my R8-14 for two seasons now and really like it. Here I simply put it up in front of the OV-13 so you could get a perspective on the relative sizes. The OV-13 is larger in almost every respect. Look to the left .. you can see what about 5-7kts looks like..
Two things real quick:
1)
You need Eric's bar. I have about 6-7 bars and like to fly the Royal with a Best bar, but the setup is wrong for this kite.
2) I'll need to try this in teabag winds, but when you see the kids in Cabarete do a
vertical-rotation-takeoff by pulling in both back lines - it really works! it's cool. I instantly tried it on the Royal - No Go.
More when there's wind .. and I have Eric's bar.
