It sounds like Flysurfer has problems with the zippers they use since they took the zipper off the Speed 3 deflation opening and replaced it with velcro, and they experimented with taking the zipper off the bag.

My Ozone and Cabrinha bags' zippers haven't had any problems, so it seems like the problem can be fixed.

I would have thought you could just call the biggest zipper manufacturer, YKK, and tell them what you need.

It's different with zippers on the kite since they can get wet and sand sticks to it.... salt water too.
Zippers on bags last way longer... generally dry.
Never had a problem yet with my Flysurfer Bag zippers.
I did replace a Zipper on a customers 19m, stronger one, works great. But could even do zipper to velcro replacement on existing kites.

We use YKK Zippers already. We have high demant to quality and that is teh reason why we search for even better solutions.
Sand and saltwater at the kites can become a problem if you don´t clean them or push hard while closing with sand in it.

I look forward to my new Speed 19m deluxe

I have been thinking of a Speed series kite. Our summers are 10 knots or less.

On a 19 meter, realistically what are the relaunch chances in 8-10 knots while in deep water. Im concerned with the bridal tangling and the kite retaining water.

I had a 15m titan once it was the best relaunching kite ever, stood in the water against the tide once and managed to sink it then drifted with it and the air preassure pushed the water ot of the canopy and flew up it took a awhile but was awesome especially as i was doing my IKO instructor course at the time

i d say close to 100%, it is the case with my 15 and the 19 has more raw power, a tad heavier tho. usually u reverse launch the kite in those winds. kite will retain water if YOU force the water to get in the kite, otherwise it will float over the water, not like LEi half under the water, half over the water. ( sitting on the trailing edge)

but well, shits can always happens with every kite. but in 8/10 knots , the kite should stay in the air until 5-6 knots.

Good to relaunch in that... most times.. Best thing is is stays in the air in very low winds... Customers love it for that. Deluxe Version for less weight will relaunch easier...

Since the Closed cell foils are well balanced and light in weight... makes it easier to get back...
Found a movie as I'm coming in on a 12m Speed from upwind in very light winds, shows how keeping the kite in the air helps on some day as the wind really drops.... So even my next 12m will probably be a Deluxe Edition like my 19m.

Many days here the wind can drop fast and we just want to get back with a dry kite.

I am afraid it might tip tuck a bit. Can someone comment.
