Can I learn Kiteboarding by myself?? (From Turkey)

Hi ? I am really interested in this sport it seems to be a lot of fun :smile: But I couldn't find neighter a place to teach it nor anyone doing this sport, in Turkey.
Can I learn it by my self ??
I think I have to learn kiting first on ground ... Which kite would you recommend for learning the kiting part on ground ??

learning alone is not easy. and going alone into water is not wise at all. you better find a friend who can assist you and watch some videos if you do not have other sources. this is complicated sport though looks easy.

there is a turkish kitesurf group.
got ot Yahoo and and groups.
search for turkish kite and yiu should be able to find it.
these guys might tell you where you can learn it.

Thanks Toby I'll try that

and edmis althoug ý'm thinking to learn it myself I am planning to try it in bodrum in a surf club where the guards watch the sea to help the ones in trouble

I'll try to find someone to help me in Istanbul Beck's WCup if I can get permission from my boss for 2-3 days ,but in worst case I'll try to be there on weekend on last 2 days of cup :) ...
