Hey Kane
Your tears look like they were probably caused by abrasions in the fabric which then open into big tears when you pump your kite up. If you look closely you will probably see the damaged area where the tear started. I often see this kind of damage on kites (of any brand) ..it is not covered under any warranty.

We have lots of Naish Torches around here and they hold up very well. They are known for excellent build quality. Why are you repeatedly posting about this rather than just getting your kite repaired?

Looks very similar to a blow out I have with a 2007 torch. Mine happened during a re-launch. I fixed it myself. To be fair to Naish I bought my kite lightly used, and I have put a load of hours on it over the last two years. Awesome kite, love to fly them. How ever it does look like there could be a weak spot prone to blow out.

I have 9 torch. We kiting 8 years.All torch have same problem in 2 place every time is my mistake?for what is kite?How long you can use kite ?In Czech is waranty 2 years.I no torch after 90 if you put send on kite is like new bud in this place have all same problem ?Why reparaired?If it is not my mistake...it is manufacturing defect.

If you know torch.You must know about this problem.If you will go and bay new this problem you will see after 5 hours kiting ?is my mistake?Give repaired?

Kane 44 has a good point I have seen this happen on the torch and Naish really needs to look into this and saying that I have seen them trashed and not have this problem.
Those marks on the leading edge will weaken the leading edge eventually causing the leading edge to split.I have seen this happen with certain colours and it depends how you launch your kite those crease marks occur when the leading edge is pumped up and you bend the leading edge and then you have those crease marks left which weaken the leading edge.
