I saw one picture in a German kite magazine.
It looks really cool and looks like a very high AR. Also the design is cool.
Here you can download some pics of the new RRD 2002 kites:

you should wait until test reports have been posted! it is not like 2000, where only 2 kites were on the market.
soon we have 2002 and about 25 kite companies!
and many changings will happen so now you have to get as many information as you can to choose the right kite.
on the other side, if you are a beginner or not advanced yet, you don't notice much difference and don't need much power for jumping.
But I believe you are an advanced kiter, aren't you?

a friend of mine has RRD Type 4 and he says itis a good kite, but at the 2001 model is too heavy, that's why it stalls very easy.
Over the LE it falls down. The 2002 will be better.
Same experience?

i think the super-type is a monster-kite.
relaunch in heavy wind wil be impossible without a bridle or 5th line, and with that, it'll be very painful (starting a full powered, high performance kite in the middle of the powerzone ... )
it looks like a hardcore kite for hardcore kiters.
if the 11.9 rrd is too slow in your opinion,
you should try a few others - like the north rhino - which is a fast turning kite.
i also expect the gaastra kite to be fast turning and to have a very direct handling.
...and there are others to be tested like the new arx and the takoons.........
