Hey, anyone of you had tried the EH Rippehr, I’m looking for a high wind kite and I’m interested in it but I haven’t found any recent reviews. I liked the Ovando very much but apparently for really high winds the Rippehr can be a better alternative (more top end). What do you think?
Cheers,
Horacio

I don´t think they are out yet ... but if you can´t wait go for the 09 Rippers .... I´ve got an 9 & 6 for our Tarifa east winds and they are fantastic kites for high winds .
I have not found the top end of the 6m yet ...... 40 knots and I still had half trimer left over...
Saludos
Franz

Rippehrs do love a bit of wind!!
The new rippehrs hold on a bit longer, eg a new 10 feels similar power wise to the old (checkered canopy) 9m.
Top end for me on this is high twentys(kts) I weigh 67kg and ride a 129.
As for higher winds iv heard rumours of a 7m Rippehr, that would be the bad boy high wind toy!
There isn't a lot of bar throw, kite is managed better through board control. Ideal for my short arms! Can't stand being bent double reaching for a bar!
All in all great kites, does take a while to get use to them but well worth it!
