Another vote for the Dakine Windsurfing ones as suggested by Peter_Frank
I use the Supremo's, there may be others as good these days but these are the best by far of the few brands I have tried.

I have to agree with Peter Frank. Regular old windsurfing Dakine straps are the best for surf boards..............

+1 vote for NSI Proton footstraps :D
By far the most comfortable i tried, difficult to find them here in europe.
Other board on the Dakine x-lace wave (Symmetricals) and also like it but not as much as NSI's

I vote for the Cabrinha straps shown in this picture. They are very loose, and wide in the right places. I like my directional straps to be very loose so as not to impede foot motion. Straps on a directional are mainly only there to keep the board with me when I jump. I like jumping in waves (both going out and while on the wave). I wouldn't like having to sacrifice use of a hand simply to grab onto the board in the air. I'd rather be free to focus on the kite placement for the landing.

Different strokes for different folks. Your mileage may vary.

FYI The Cabrinha straps were developed especially for kitesurfing. The NP guys "borrowed" the design, but added internal plastic which makes them less comfy for kiting.

I disagree, too hard, i friend of mine got injured with those with a board twist.
I like my straps soft and a bit loose, I ride with them like i ride with no straps.
I use the straps mainly to help me jumping over white water.
Currently using LF surf straps.

Interesting... because another good thing about the Cabrinha straps is that you can step on them instead of "in them" and they squashed down nicely under your foot, and they spring back really well once you step off of them to slide your foot in.

Overall excellent straps for the directional. Mine came with my Cabrinha 6'1" Tow Surf board. Super board!
