Fuel 2009 guestion...

Postby Tadej » Wed Nov 18, 2009 3:26 pm

Hello last year I had north vegas 2008 and than 2009, but 2009 was little to soft for C shape kite, so I buy Fuel 2009, which is great :)

Now I have a question: I changed my trim from chicken loop to the standard place (see on pices), but there is everything ok.

"problem" is that double ring on picture:

I dont know if is this enough strong (it is originally on Fuels) or not for kiteloops..maybe Im funny with this question, but is better to ask :)

Thank you

Looks pretty strong to me. That's how they made 'em for years, so I see no problem with it now. Looks like you don't really need that big cleat on the bottom any more though...

it should be ok but i would change the system for sure the double ring issue would be in the back of my head all the time, and the chicken loop looks shit aswell because the cleat and unessary plastic gets in the way.......get an oldskool airush one . :thumb:

thanks for the replys, friends said to me, that this is strong enough for sure, but looks not. So maybe I will change this, just because it will be always back on my head-every jump, loop, always. I will replace with something stronger.

I am curious, what part do you think is weak?

hmm, I guess I see what you mean.
I have one of those things, have not worried about it, but yes, it looks thin....
Although, it seems as thick as the old mouse ears...
I have not heard of them breaking so far though --any histories of that?

nothing to worry about that double ring was designed to hold the full load. That is how all my bars are and I rode in 40+ on a 9m yesterday.

^^^^^^^
Agree - I've never heard of any issues. The only reason to change it is if you want a pulley to make the trim smoother.
