I'm planning on going to the carribean this january for a kiteboarding trip. I'm still a novice-intermediate and would prefer flat water. Barbados sounds like a nice place but I am afraid that there might not be flat water there, is this true? if not is there one beach or spot that has smoother conditions? Also looking at Aruba and Turks and Caicos. I am told dominican is good but i've been there before so i would rather not consider it unless it is really the best spot for kiting in early january. Also wondering if Aruba and turks and caicos have wind/flat water.

We have a big protective reef in the Cayman Islands which cuts down swell significantly and within that there are shallow sand bars you can stand on if need be.
I may be able to find you some cheap accomodation on the island, too if you are interested.
Send me a message if you want more info.

Hello Aruba is your best choice, you have wind and flat water. The flat water area is off-shore gusty winds, so there (if you are not an advance you need someone to check you out) on the other side of the Island, Boca Grandi has perfect constant on/side-shore wind and a wavy bay, if you need more info contact me at
