I have found a nice 6.3"normal waveboard, and use this for kiting, and I love it. However the strength of this board is not up to the forces of using it with a kite.
Is it possible to strengthen the board by adding a layer of glass and epoxy to it? Will this stick?
I am thinking of adding Bamboo fineer on those high-impact places where I keep my feet during kiting, and adding a layer of glass and epoxy over the whole top of the board.
Anyone with experience in doing this ??

I normally ride standard PU surfboards, just add an additional layer of glass 6oz should do it.. It won't completely stop compression marks on the deck but will definitely pro-long the live of the board..

Peter Frank has in this forum a picture of his waveboard, where he has put a layer of carbon tissue underneath the pads front and back foot...it seems it helps a lot.

Carbon tissue sounds like a good idea. Where can I find this picture on the forum? Ordering a new surfboard this week.
Thanks!

Spoetnik, try the boardbuilders site in your nativelanguage, kitehigh.nl
I think some of the pro-boardbuilders have done it several times.
Don't ask WimT though
you could use carbon, but I would use normal Glassfiber (UD, eddy can deliver)
