Great to watch. I heard the kite used the most in this video is a C-quad 4,2.

I started kitesurfing with a C-quad 6.3 on handles and 40m lines. This kite was damn powerful. I used it for anything: jumping, buggying, snowkiting, kitesurfing...
Cheap kite, very powerful, easy to fly with handles. The drawback: it would not relaunch in deep water always keeping an ear in the water.

On a light wind day, I used it compared to an 18m PL phantom and we had the same low end.

If I find a cheap 8.5, I may buy it as my light wind kite for nostalgy

4.2 was my first kite. A damn fun kite to fly on handels. Drop the kite deep into the power zone on a stall and let it climb up and out. Good fun.

I rode C-Quads back in the day. Very efficient kite. I had a 6.3, 8.5, 10.5, and custom made 13.5 for those super lightwind days. That kite was a pain to unpack/setup/repack and not very user friendly otherwise. And forget about even touching the water with it.

I had 2.2(ish), 6,3 and 10,5 m C-quads. Used them mostly for buggy/skiing.
Had those inflateble tubes for them too, but didn't see much improvement in waterstarting

After these I got myself a Mosquito 7,5 m, brand forgotten, that had condoms(!) as air-valves and hence closed cells. A few cells had inflated bags in then too, but that mostly made the kite heavier.

Is the C-quads still used in buggy-racing?

Windtools Mosquito Pro. I had the 9.4 and a 5.5. Pretty amazing kites for their time. Never flew a C-Quad and still wouldn't mind trying one just for fun.

Windtools was the German company that made the Booster, the first one-pump kite (because it only had a leading edge bladder and used rigid instead of inflatable struts).

I had some successful waterstarts with the 6,3. With the "anti-sinking"-devices you didn't had to untangle it from the sea-bottom as often

My younger brother still have a 8,5 C-quad, might be a collectors item by now.
Packing them is an art form. Thanks to my c-quad-years I pack down our pop-up-tents with grace and perfection

To bad that they stop develop C-Quad,i think this concept will resurface someday in the future design with water relaunchable feature.

This summer I will take out my old 4.2 after 13 years.
