First time in Cabarete

First time in Cabarete
I have been planning a trip to Cabarete for a long time and am finally going. I will be there for the first week in April. Every place changes so where is the best place to hang out and meet the crowd. Who can give great advanced lessons. Are there any trips like down winders going on. What is Boca all about. Who can help me here...?

EH Cabarete used to do downwind tours, but I don't know if he still does.
la Boca is all about flat water and perfect for video and photo shoots:

We at Swell organize tours as well , and if there's enough wind Luciano Gonzalez also gives advanced lessons.
Places to Hang out: KiteClub, Maraja or Dare2Fly are good choices to meet other kiters

KiteClub is a great place to hang out. There is a little cafe, you can get whatever you want there. Also a fruit stand across the street....ask the lady to slice you up a fresh piece of papaya...sweet! There are always lots of people hanging around waiting for wind or waiting for an instructor. Everyone is in the same frame of mind so it is a great vibe. From there you will meet more people and then have fun places to go at night...must go to LAX and then VoyVoy...too much fun....you will love it. Oh ya, dont bother with All-Inclusives, there is too much to do and see to be stuck in one place. Billy

If you are going over easter, check with your hotel and/or the local schools to make sure you can kite over that weekend. This is an issue that happens every year as watersports are banned over that weekend.
