I rode that spot towards then end when i was a kid.. on a body board It was fcking knarly under head high.. break is nothing then suddenly rocks.. everywhere.

Seriously large testicles required to kite it at that size.. (toby you need a new smiley of a guy with nuts so big his feet cant touch the ground)

Stoked you guys like the flick, it's just the short version, the long version will be available on DVD along with "Shades of Green" in a few months.

BTW - The site is back up, we had it crash this morning! Sorry about that.

If any of you guys even care, on the bigger day at the end of the film, we were on 5m kites smoked out of our minds in the gustiest winds ever. I think my kite was in the water more than the sky, so it was kind of scary coming onto the waves knowing your kite could fall out of the sky anytime - fun though.

Cross backwash, chop, unpredictable wave, rocks, gusty wind. It all seemed to be the sort of stuff that made the decision to go strapped in the past. Interesting to see it ridden strapless at such high speed - and staying on the board.

For once though I'd like to see the camera stick it out a bit longer on some of the kiters who get eaten by the waves... just for fun cause I'd like see the recovery process Do they actually relaunch or do they just wash ashore? What goes on there? You know, do it for us 9 -5'ers who only see real waves in videos

Video was good, but the reality show style "confessions" really take away from it. The first ~13 mins where mostly talk, covering arrival, driving the winnabago, fixing a leak, talking about conditions, etc. If I am going to buy a DVD, I expect more action less talk. My only suggestion would be to maybe have a mix of music and voice over while showing the action. I was very impressed with Ben's strapless riding, so hope that the final DVD will have different editing.
