Boots on LF WLF?

Postby TheJoe » Sun Feb 21, 2010 11:00 pm

Anyone try boots on Liquid Force WLF boards? Have one for light wind and wouldn't mind trying bindings with out buying a new board first.

it'll work for sure,

but in higher winds you won't get the best experience. because the board is so big and flat it's kinda the opposite of a good boots board. for boots you want lots of rocker and a longer board, but not so wide as a WLF. not saying it's a bad board though, i'm sure you'll be fine on it!

but ya go for it man! rock out the boooots!

Should work quite well to just try boots for the first time, especailly if you are larger guy, its nice and stiff so will be good with the boots. Only thing that you find is that because it is very wide it will be hard to edge and pop when very powered and landings will be a bit slap down.

Thanks for the replies. I understand about the edging problem I did try it with the LF heel straps and could not edge at all. It took all I had just to stay upwind. I'll try boots on it if I find a great a deal but think I will wait till next season and just buy a wakestyle board.

I think boots work great on WLF. My friend has this setup on his 2006 and I'm going to be installing boots on my wlf 140 2007. The board has great flex, is so much smoother then previous years. The board handles chop well and is great in light wind. Not as much rocker as wake specific boards but has enough flex to compensate in my opinion.
