I have a 2010 Havoc 14 and it flys really smoothly, no flutter no nothing. Powerful and hanldes gusts well. Seems to have good range. Flies quickly, more like a 12. Not a slow kite. Very stable, easy to self launch and land too.

I own a 6, 8, 10 Havoc and i agree with DSZ!

They are excellent kites and the quality is 10/10!

I haven't tried the RPM but some people claim that the low end is not that good!

Last year in cape town I was riding a Havoc 9. They are strong kites (meaning they dont tear easily) and are easy to relaunch. I was still a beginner back then and my kite went through a lot of waves, but made it through everytime.
I had fun on it and it helped me progress at a good rate

I also liked the depower mechanism. It was simple and got the job done, unlike some of the 'state-of-the-art' mechanisms you see on top name brands today.

Both are very good sle kites, i would say it is the kites just before C shape

Havoc 2010 have impressive power and lowend and rockets upwind, jump huge with long hangtime, you can get the 10m to catch you in high loops but real C shape is better for that

RPM dosent seem to have the same lowend but have more ajustments, RPM is more smooth in top of wind range Havoc becomes more lively but it doesnt effect the performance, RPM also jumps big and loops great for a sle kite

Both have a nice round turn radius

I like the Slingshot bar alot better

RPM will have better resell value i guess

Havoc feels good for freestyle. goes upwind as hell but at the same time is very fluid and stable in the pull in general. Very stable in the flow.
RPM felt more like freeride kite. Turns very fast but without that nice direct feeling of havoc. Bar grip was also too edgy for me. Doesnt like the bar at all.
Another thing that Havoc is totaly in my taste in colours and graphics.
I flown 12 and 14 Havocs and 12 RPM both 2010

Worst idea ever to buy a kite because of colors or graphics! I learned that on my first kite purchase.

The Havoc & the RPM are really similar kites. It's definitely a preference issue & not a one is better than the other. Someone talked about liking the heavy bar pressure of the Havoc, I prefer the RPM because I can adjust the bar pressure to my comfort level. The RPM is definitely not just a freeride kite. This kite is amazing in waves and for unhooked wakestyle riding.
