Thinking about moving to Tampa Florida

Postby kiteguy23 » Wed Apr 21, 2010 10:00 pm

Anyone know where the best spot for kitesurfing is in this area that is also close to an area where there are plenty of tech and marketing jobs available?

Tampa is a great spot to kite. You can kite in any wind direction within 30 minutes or so of driving or less. Check out this site - http://www.fksa.org/. There is a Tampa section. Post in there. Econonomy is struggling here but seems to be picking up. Florida in general got hammered economically.

I was down there last weekend and was riding out at East beach of Ft Desoto county park - a fantastic spot and it was fun kiting somewhere with more than 20 other kites up in the air and riding!

One thing to remember is we in FL get the summer doldrums where the winds go to basically nothing for a couple months (Late Jul- Sep where I am - don't know about Tampa).
