epic is not just a new brand on the market, it has a hole history to it. Dimitri is a hell of kiter and kite developer but a great buinessman. i was with suave 1 for the week and felt the disappointment but Dimitri went out of his way and stood up to the plate and behind his product and delivered the goods.
we got to meet him also he put on a demo for us.

Thats sick. I just sold my last "old" kite which means I had money to order a 7m! Looks like it will come in on Monday and hopefully should be kiting on it later that week.

I'll post up a new action vid and comparisons to my 9m and 12m. I also will try to demo the 10m LE and let you guys know how I feel about that.

my guess is you're aiming to get some kite industry perks **cough *** sponsored **Cough***

i could too if i pimped the shit outta a new brand. hell you'd prolly f*** the kites to make some weird ass porn if it meant this new kite company got more exposure.

there are people paid to pimp this shit (like the bar, which is really shit) and don't even pimp as much as you.

must be cause your soooo stoked, or you finally found a good place to put that shit bar

you still haven't answered my nicely asked question about how it loops.

and yea i'm leaving this thread now too cause i'm sick of reading biased reviews that just stroke your cock some more about how "awesome" the kites are.

happy kiting :remybussi:

I have more to say, but am going to leave it as this:

pdkite you don't have to click on my thread and read it.

Im always going to be biased towards a company that treats the customer well. If they do that and produce top quality products I am gonna share it with everyone.

Glad your leaving...
Thanks! :) :bye:

To you all, I apologize for any non informational posts on here. I was hoping this thread would be a compilation of reviews and discussions. For everyone else I hope you read my thread. I put time into it and having it trashed by someone is the last thing I wanted. :(

Where exactly are you kiting? (im from Pismo) :)
grantman54,
I'm mainly riding in Malibu but also LB and OC:) I think we might have met in Pismo @ KiteXPO as we were one of exhibitors there:) I try to make it to Pismo couple times a year but (usually it's when the wind in LA is iffy). Love the beach there, and the laid back vibe:) How is the wind up there in the summer ?

djlepper. Yeah, sounds like we met. Summer wind is hit and miss. It is good when it is good, but sometimes it doesn't feel like showing up. Right now it blows pretty much every day. But the summer winds are good 3/7 days a week.

KiteCulture wrote:any suggestion on tuning the LTD Screamer? I'm riding it right out of the bag. LOTS of power with this baby, and I really only fly it in lighter winds (15 knots or less). I'm 145 lbs, 136 twin, 4 yrs experience. Used to riding the Renegade which you never have to think about. I find the Screamer needs a little more attention (or you get spanked). What are your thoughts on moving the bridle? What have you done and why? There are certainly LOTS of tuning options with this kite.
As Dimitri says if you think it has to many power try to move the powerlines closest to the Mickey mouse ears. Personally I like the second the the best because I like a powered kite and the kite then just backstalls a bit when I fully pull the bar. This setup is the best at my opinion for jumps :thumb:

I'm pretty stoked on the Loops :jump:
Nice pull thru the entire loop and not to much pivot turn on the wingtip.
Feels a lot like looping a C, only with gusto

Well, I got my 7m and flew it in 18-30mph winds yesterday. It was my first time ever riding a kite under 8m. I flew it back to back with my 9m Screamer.
Here is how it went.

I really wanted to get on my new 7m but it was still a little too light (18mph ish) to get going on it (so I thought) so I went with my 9m for an hour. Then once the winds picked up to 20-30 I grabbed my 7m. My initial thoughts were, "This thing is going to be too fast" "I am going to oversteer a ton." "It is not going to have much power if I was just powered on my 9m". I quickly learned that I was completely wrong. These are the actual characteristics of the 7m:
Pros:
--- Seriously tons of power just like the other Screamers. I would say that the 7m has the best range surprisingly.
--- Very very responsive and turns on a dime. I love flying this kite
--- Likes the edge of the window. It really gains speed as you get moving.
--- Smooth pop. Not as explosive as the 9m.
--- Stable kite. It was pretty gusty out and the kite seemed to handle the gusts better than the 9m.
--- Obviously relaunch is cake with this small of a kite.
--- Bar position felt better than the 9m..
--- Lighter bar pressure than the 9m.
Cons:
--- Being a 7m, this kite won't get you planning as early as the 9m. You have to be more effective about your waterstart. Hard to explain... the kites power comes from having some speed.
--- Less hangtime than the 9m. This is a given.

With all that said, this kite is my favorite! The power delivery is exciting, oversteering was not a problem, the kite always was where I expected it to be, and overall the 7m was a lot better than I expected. I was thinking the 7m would be way to fast and I would have to put it on the slow setting. But it was a blast!

At the end of the day I jumped back on my 9m and concluded my session.

Now I just need to try the LE 10m to see if I could have gotten away with a 2 kite quiver of a 7m/10m.
