Zaafarana is in Egypt, 200 km north of Hurghada and 200 km south of Cairo.
So you can fly to both airports which makes flight search (and prices) much easier..
The wind in Zaafarana is said to be the strongest all over Egypt, there are huge wind parks around the area.
There is only one hotel (the Royal Zaafarana) which was build about 10 years ago as a luxury resort, then closed for a couple of years due to unknown circumstances and was then - upon request of Ibi from Ibi & friends kitecentes - reopened.
The hotel itself kind of strange if you arrive there. Imaging an 800 beds hotel with only 50 people in it.. However, the service is good, it is clean and the food is fine.
The best thing is, that the kitespot is directly at the hotel, so no Tuk-Tuk or Taxi needed. Also the kitespot is awesome! Huge flatwater area with sideshore winds and not so crowded like El Gouna, Safaga or whatever else.
Any more questions, let us know: info@kiteworldwide.com
Cheers,
Bob!

PS.: for wind you can check http://www.muchoviento.net/ which is said to be the most precise one on Zaafarana.
