Probably too late for this to matter, but I was at Kitty Hawk Kites last weekend (demo week), and tried just about the entire demo line of RRD boards.

I not an accomplished rider, but I can tell you that the board needs a bit more of an edge to it to get upwind. They installed the foot pads closer to the edge of the board and you have to ride the edge more so than some of the other lightwind boards out there than have the pads more in the center (where you need little to no edge and ride the board basically flat).

It held the edge in decent chop, and I didnt feel beat up after riding it for a few hours (I was riding it in about 12-15 knot winds). Decent upwind ability with the board.

All in all, it was a nice board and I appreciated the opportunity to ride it.

Got the board and like it alot. Got it for lightwind good combo with the zephyr. No problems getting upwind. I thought it had really good upwind. Good low end of course its huge. Try it before you buy it but i like it.
