many thanks gebi for sharing your info with us. you mentionned that the fin position is an issue for tri fins . I have notived that on Paolo's board the front fin is located "far away" from the rail compared to conventional boards.

any suggestion for the reason of this fin positions?

ok, let`s talk fin position for tri fin boards. If you move the front fins inboard or away from the rail, the tri fin board will work better with the larger front fins. Since a tri fin board only has 3 fins it needs bigger front fins than a 4 fin board. So to balance and control the power of the larger front fins youcaan try them more inboard. Paolo has fouund this in testign and I have confirmed the same as well. Hope this helps...

similar ideas are on their way to reduce distance between back fin so as to increase bord agility

Is the extra centre strap at the back for downwind - like on this windsurf board?
