Hummm
New Charger got the Octopuss... and is marketed as the Race kite ... no more a beginner / entry level kite
What a 180° turn
I'am puzzled with that
Will it still be a fantastic wave kite?

I rode a Rista/Naish pre-production prototype yesterday and was very pleased with it. I currently ride the North LTD race board (with the bigger fins) and I have gotten quite comfortable on it. But all the other really big 4 fin race boards that I have tried have all taken a lot of effort and feel a bit unstable to me. In comparison, this 3 fin board was easier to flatten out and go fast. It also seemed controllable going downwind. This board seems faster than my 2010 North LTD. Of course, North has their own 2011 board coming out soon which I understand will be a 4 fin model.
Now what I really would like to hear about is the 2011 Charger kite. I am hoping that it is fast enough for racing but still a good general purpose kite.

Looks nice and thick. Lots of float through lulls?

Looks like Tuttle finboxes. The thickness should be more comfortable for the feet, and might give a better connection to the board. Useful volume for paddling in if the wind drops.
Will be interesting to see if most buyers favour 3 fins or 4.
