I'm heading to Cape Hatteras for the fist time October 29-November 7 and not sure what to expect! What are the winds like and hows the water??

Ocean will still be warm. Rode last weekend in trunks with a rashguard. Air temps may require some rubber but ocean will still be nice.
Sound temps fluctuate more with the weather. A string of warm days and the sound could be warmer than oceanside but a string of cold days and it will be colder.
Northerly winds this time of year. No guarantees but you should get some good riding in. You could be in anything from trunks to a full suit.

I think I'll head down to Hatteras from Toronto this weekend or Monday. have some time so might stay for a few weeks.
