Review fuel 2011

Postby davedej » Tue Oct 19, 2010 7:01 am

It is my logic choice, since I kite with fuel’s from 2003. I have skipped 2009 and 2010, and used 2008′s for 2 years, but now I have 4 brand new Fuels 2011!

a 7,9,11 and 13m. How does it look? Well you probably have seen pictures and a short video on the net, but no real review on its real performonce.

Hi Dave! I used to have a 9 mt and one 11 mt fuel 2009. The 9 mt for me was great. But the 11 mt had a very hard bar pressure. It was very slow, on the other hand the 9 mt was super stable and the bar pressure was perfect. On the 2011 what can you share with us regarding turning speed and bar pressure? And also do you like the new bar, it looks very nice.
Cheers Tio

Just got off the 2011 7m [lunch time session] and ready to get out of work and use the 6m is the wind is still up!

2011 Fuels have a mix of sick unhooking and lofting behaviors but also perfect feel at the bar and how it fly's. Super stable! Bar pressure is medium depending on how powered your ridin... Wakestyle setting is sick for all unhook riding.. basically allows you to set a edge and still load up without blownin out or becoming overpowered quickly... Perfect cable pull type feel! Freestyle setting allow more range and stroke is longer. The Wakstyle has a very short stoke similar to a 2 stoke motto.. On and off but feels sooo good! Can't wait to get them out for some snowkiting sessions... Hit the rail on those are gonna feel sooooooooo sick!

The 6m is mental and will be my smallest of Fuels I ride with... Anything smaller and the 4.5 RPM comes out...

Construction is tip top and you will see more panels for aiding in support, stability, and strength. Also can help the guy fixin it too!

Bar none these 2011 are the sickest FUELS ever!!!! The 13 is even fast, HA!

Thanks Dave! Have you tested the F-one 4? If you did what differences do you see from the Bandit 3? Cheers. Tio

Heck ya! Want to get them out in some nice warm weather and also will do a snow edit too...

Look for the water one soon and a snowkite version later on in Jan with the RPM 2011!

Thanks for sharing the stoke!

Any thing you want or ideas you would like to see in the short product video?

HI Tio,
turning speed is really better then before. Its nice and smooth, even the 13m has that. The new bar is so so, when depowering from a fully powered depower cord, it is also impossible to get it down. The bar pressure is a lot more than on a RPM, but I find the RPM incredible light and impossible to tell where it stands

The Banidt 4 is really better than the 3, I tested it in quite perfect conditions (steady 25 knts) and I had really a lot of fun, lots more than with the 3, bassicaly everything is a bit better, But compared to a fuel it is still a lot softer.

Hi Dave!
Thanks a lot for your advice. I'm willing to test the B4 in Bariloche next week.
Cheers.
