Hello to everybody!

How is life doing?

Here in the Philippines is all good...

Though low season no much rain here in Boracay, as usually it is during this time of the year...
But wind... really tricky No typhoon around = no wind!
few days... every now and then... then, if a typhoon generates on the east of the archipelago (this one is the season...) we rig up the 7!

Meanwhile there's time to organize the way more windy and consistent oncoming season, the Amihan one , more or less starting in November and ending in April (last year lasted till may!)

For 2011 no more flat water teaching for me in Boracay...
after 5 years is time for a change...

so... if somebody is interested in waveriding and feel ready for a great improving experience...

INTERNATIONAL FLIGHT UPDATING

Whoever is interested in this Camp will need to pay attention to the following schedule when organizing his/her trip to Manila:
- ARRIVAL AT MANILA AIRPORT no later than lunch time (12.30) on the first Camp Day (Wednesday);
- DEPARTURE FROM MANILA AIRPORT no earlier than midnight on last Camp Day (Wednesday);
this will make sure to have a good coordination with the Local Flight Manila-CampRegion-Manila .

A good matching Flight with those Camp features (coming from many other countries all over the world...) is provided form Emirates Airlines (http://www.emirates.com): stop over in Dubai and arrival in Manila the afternoon before first Camp Day (Tuesday).

Most important reasons:
- 30kg check-in luggage allowed ;
- Surf Board Bag allowed ;
- Price

Participants flying with this Company will need to spend the night before the Camp in Manila...
and that is not as bad as it could sounds:
- in case of International Flight delay they will not lose the 1st Day of Camp;
- they will have no stress at all due to a tight traveling schedule;
- it will be easier for the body to adapt to local weather and local time zone before Camp starting;
- they will have a good sleep to recover from the probably long international flight before coming to the Camp;
- it will be possible the same morning of the Flight to the Camp Region to have a look around Manila (or enjoy the night before and sleep longer in the morning...);
On the way back the connection will be very smooth: Flight to Dubai (stop over for next international connections) from Manila is just few hours after the Flight coming from the Camp Region will land in Manila.

For places where to stay in Manila there are plenty of advices... Around 20 euro for a nice, clean safe and well located place (well located for some shopping/visits in the morning or enjoying the night life, without need of any transport at all )

MANILA OVERNIGHT STAYING UPDATING

hello again
I just spent few days in Manila for some papers work...
I went checking places for staying for the guys that will need to stop overnight before or after their Camp...

Many option available...
in any case, one is unbeatable:
there is a nice hostel in Makati area (20 minutes by taxi from/to the airport):
- unbelievably clean and in a very new place ;
- super quiet at night ;
- new beds extra-confortable ;
- super safe ;
- rooms are right on a floor of a hi class hotel ;
- staff is super friendly and always available for help ;
-place is located in a nice area where is very nice and safe to walk around and a lot for the night is going on ;
-super cheap considering the area where it stays: 750p for bed in a 6beds dorm with one toilet, 850p for a bed in a 2beds dorm, 1000p for a private room. All prices are breakfast included...
In Makati there's not any other better option for less than 2500p per night ...

In case you will be able to book for it thorough the internet...
just let me know if you need it, as well if need some other info about other place where to stay...
