Kiting in Kenya - beaches & accommodation

Postby mappe5000 » Mon Nov 15, 2010 4:03 pm

Hello!
We're going to Kenya to kite between 14th Dec - 21th Jan. Our group have thought lot about different beaches but since none of us actually been there it's hard to tell which direction should we head.

According to my searching on the internet Galu beach little bit south from Diani beach should be less crowded from other tourists and beach boys.

Should wind probability be better there than in Malindi beach?
We're also interested about Tanzania Zanzibar island.

If you have been in above mentioned area or some other spots nearby that you find worth mentioning I'd be really glad if you can give us some advice for the accommodation.

There is high season between 15th Dec - 1st Jan when many places got their rates doubled or tripled. We would be interested some places you find was worth of money or even better if you got your own crib there empty and for rent

Or should we just head to the beach and search for empty villas and studios? That should be the cheapest solution. Internet price is always higher than the price you ask from the owner straight in the location

Thanks a lot from your help!
