'You need to decide: old school, or kitelooping and unhooking. Cannot really do it all with one kite in the same conditions.'

- Try the CORE XR2: high aspect kite (pop and hangtime) that turns!

that also depends on the size...forget kiteloops with my 14-16-18 sqm kites! But therefore I pull all those boardoff tricks.

the slower the better...
rather take a bigger kite in lighter winds...you may miss 1-2m in height, but you want hangtime and a stable kite.
A microloop is key...a stopper works as well...but not as good. Many tricks I couldn't pull with a stopper...

Cabrinha stopper sucks

Ill look after a bigger kite just for the fun :)

Ill look for a north with the MH

Tnx for the tips

But isn't too dangerous to kite with big kites in strong wind conditions... I mean, when its past 20 knots im already whit my 9m... any advices?

tnx

dangerous is relative...

You are more likely to get injured with a smaller kite on the water.
At launch and landing you have to be more careful with the power of a kite with a bigger kite, but it is slower and better to control...so move it slow, keep distance to hard objects and a hand on the release, and it will be fine.
But the more time in the air will help you progress.

And after a while you will be able to hold more and more power of the kite...by edging hard, going slow and flying the kite above the water.

Tnx Toby

Its realy funny how the internet goes... I would never expect to be getting advices by you! I mean, u are THE men in Old School!

Another question, and I belive its the last: i've looked yeasterday for some big kites, and couldent find a used Dino around here, neither any of the one i looked. The one I found where either very expensive or news (and those are expensivier!) Are there any old kites that you yould recomend? Like X3, or any other?

Tnx
