Has anybody ever snowkited with the HQ Apex 2? I've been looking at the 7.5m or 10m. If you have can you tell me if it's any good?
If you don't think I should use the Apex, can you suggest a different kite that would work? I'm looking for a kite thats big enough to pull me around pretty good.Maybe get a few jumps in there somewhere. I weigh 136 pounds, wind here can range from 5 to 15 MPH.

I do ride with the apex 5 in larger winds. You might want to consider the HQ Montana 9.5. This size is very versatile and would offer plenty of pull for 135lbs.

Apex III 7.5 and 10m are very good and safe kites, but of course Montana6 it's more powerful on the same size. I mean 9.5 montana 6 it's stronger than Apex 10m, but you can enjoy both of them. test and go!

Unfortunately I can't afford the Montana. Any other kite suggestions? If its and inflatable or foil it doesn't matter. Brand doesn't matter to me either. As long as the price doesn't exceed $760.
Your help would be much appreciated!
Happy kiting,
AJ

I have a 5m and a 7.5 Apex II , At 150# the 5m very often will come up short of power exept on ice hard pack or somewhat higher wind. The 7.5 will power thru in most wind and snow conditions . As allways wind and surface conditions dictate what kite will work best. Good luck have fun.

There is no cheaper new kite better then HQ Apex.
You may want to look at used Montana or used Ozone kites.
But, when new, HQ Apex is the most you can get for not too much money.
Radsails Evo2 may be cheaper, but is not as good as HQ Apex.
I have experience with:
HQ Apex
HQ Apex II
HQ Apex III
HQ Neo
HQ Neo II
HQ Montana 5
Ozone Access XC and XT
Ozone Frenzy
Flexifoil Sabre2
Radsails Evo2

The Apex III? Is that any different than the Apex II? Better? Worse?
