beaches are public, true. but how to access a beach if there is only private land around?
wind is good today, Cumbuco around 18-20 knots, Ilha reports 25 too. Good!
Forecast looks good wind-wise, but also daily rain. Looks like rainy season to me! Can't be dry season

well then i have acess via the beach.....
i don´t know any spot along the coast that has a wind channel unless you go up to Piaui. (spot with an island in front) For a wind channel you might need an island or something big that gives that effect. Overland channels there are. But for example the wind turning in the back of the "Serrote" in Jericoacoara the result are stronger but more gusty conditions as the wind hits obstacles along the way.... and anyway in this case the wind get´s offshore as it hits the water after the sunset dune.
Spots with cape effect there are.
more Info pls. which spot is next to it .... curious!
wind in Prea was around 24 knots araound mid day. late afternoon it picked up even more and was aprox 26+. some clouds in the backcountry but sunny here.

via the beach? not that easy, since the beach cannot be accessed through public land...neither end of the beach. Anyway, we will see. But I already heard they fined people for going there. It is not my personal experience!
Cumbuco had a rain shower passing through with stronger wind, then after a while wind died, bit came back with sun.

if you take whatever nearest public road to the beach and travel along - you will reach that spot.
fined ... that would be something new for Brazil but sounds interresting.
so now - where is it ....?????? where is the wind channel spot???????

I wonder where you, guys, have been in NE kiting?
It looks like CE Brazil Update instead of NE brazil Update.

Why? Those living in other parts of NE Brazil could give us updates and useful info too (but don't do it at the moment).

@ Toby : we both know that there is nothing "secret" anymore about the entire coast of Ceara. there have been too many people around all over the place - travelling along the entire coastline as well.
anyway i am rather amused about all the "secrets" - would rather call it "exclusive" or "hard to reach" maybe "hidden" would be a good term as well...... just a suggestion......sounds always like a conspiracy theorie........
in fact it´s just that the name probably didn´t pop up yet.
