Just checked the wind forecasts for the weekend, again. Sat looks to be best, NOAA site says 14-20 from the SSW at noon, dropping off to 13-17 at 3 pm. Watertown Aviation site(USAir) shows 10mph peak at 1:00pm, dropping off from there. I checked kite sites yesterday, and the best was Hanno lot at about 6". Evans Mills and Honeyville lots showed vegetation through the snow. We got some pretty good snow here in the valley last night (4"), so maybe they got more on the hill. Won't be able to get up there today, though. Will likely be meeting up somewhere tomorrow. Good weekend to all!

Bob is meeting us at Honeyville around 10:30 tommrow and wants to do some shooting . They said Adams Center got around 12inches of snow on top of other snow. If there is snow look for the new Clam Shelter at Honeyville. Jan :bye:

Sky,
It's still on for this weekend. I am totally new to the sport and not an organizer, but a semi local. Here is a link that you are looking for: http://www.lewiscountyrecreation.com/kiteskiing.shtml I hope to meet you this weekend!

Cheers!

Joe

Hey Gang,

Just got off the phone with Jan, I updated the map to include the confirmed sites for 2011 event, note that the sites are only confirmed for the 2010/11 season, and in the case of deer farm, only for the event. So if you are at a random site that isn't identified on the map please get permission from the property owner before you use it (even if you've flown there in the past). Thanks.

Here's the MAP

There's more locations than just Tug Hill sites, but the event locations are labeled with 'Tug Hill - yada yada'

Jan and Bob are constantly working with property owners in the area and there will probably be more sites that have confirmation for access by the time this weekend rolls around, that info will be available at the event.

Looking forward to seeing everyone this weekend.

You meant for the 2011 season right. Thanks for your help in getting the map up and going. :D Jan
