Bump

I'm going to Cape town at beginning of February.

I'd appreciate any general advice (logistical, technical etc). What to bring, where to go, what to avoid.

This season has been the windiest season in the last 10 years. We have had very few days to SUP.
Kite size is crucial and if you are on a directional then 5 or 6 is good.
Twin tip you will need a 7 most days but a 9 if you can hang on to it in 30kts will be ok.
The wind tends to have a lunch time lull but is always strongest in the evenings.
There are loads of places to kite with waves as well as a flat water lagoon.
The seas temp is around 15 deg on average so a 4/3 wetsuit is need.
Even in the days that the wind does not blow or the evenings has allot to offer in the form of entertainment with the City Cape town 20 minutes from the Kitesurfing main beaches.
Sorry for the late post and i hope you have been enjoying the stay so far.

I'm flying in tonight, forecast doesn't look good the next few days. Should I trust windfinder? I know it can be way off about some places.

Where's good to be now?
