Very good. Someone at least goes in the right direction.
Now get rid of the inflatable leading edge (bladders are nuisance), add a second skin underneath, not forgetting to bridle the whole whole thing and you'll get a proper kite!

Interesting observation.
I'd try to find a way (extra line?) to be able to turn in around so as to be able to reverse launch. But looks indeed tricky nevertheless.
But you've probably noticed: it's not on the water ;-)

Strutless is very interesting. I've flown my Wainman's this way and they fly fine. The kite flutters when you do turns of course but other than that, you can totally kite it. I'm assuming it was able to do this due to the low aspect ratio of the kite?

Regarding relaunch, I didn't attempt it cause I had a feeling that it wouldn't do it in the water.

GiGi: What's your experience with the relaunching on that thing?

if you look at the naiboo morphine,

viewtopic.php?t=2364299&p=650403

you can see that with a classic arc shape / c-shape, you do not seem to need struts in the middle...

gigi, now please make a really light weight tube kite ! goal: 180 g per projected squaremeter ! that would be better than most bridled kites :-)

the f-one source is around 230 g / proj. sqm - thats currently the lightest tubekite. but sadly they made it a 2liner with zero depower :angryfire:

Wondamic I had one of the small struts go out on my Boss one day. Like you said it flew fine but dropped the kite to a lull and could not get it to relaunch when the wind picked back up. Finishhed the day off with a swim back to shore.
