Kite Racing Schedule 2011

Together with a relaunch of the International Kiteboarding Associations website, the IKA has unveiled a provisional schedule of the 2011 kite course racing calendar. Although not all events are finally signed yet, there is not much change to be expected.

NOTE: All events are subject to final confirmation, please check the event calendar for latest updates.

Attention: the PKRA event calendar will be published February 1st and possible PKRA course racing events are not yet included here but will be posted together with all other confirmed events in the events section of the IKA website.

12.05. - 15.05.: Youth and Masters World Championships France (below 18; over 34)

Cant believe the Europeans are the week before the Worlds.
Means for us people that have a job we will probably miss them as I know I can't afford to have 2 weeks in a row off and travel to Turkey then Germany.
Bad planning surely they should be a month apart at least to allow everyone to be able to attend and not restrict to pro riders who kite for a living!
Conme on IKA lets allow everyone to attend both the Worlds and Europeans and not just the elite!

The Course Racing schedule has been updated in the events section, now listing a total of 20 events to chose from. Another two events (European Championship in the second half of June and Asian Championship second half of November) will be added as soon as the dates are fixed.

There are currently 8 major events on the calendar, together with the European and Asian Championships the number of major events will raise to 10, with each riders best 7 out of all results counting for the world rankings.
