Bordy and Randolph go (very) fast out west, new leaders

Postby stormboarding » Tue Feb 15, 2011 3:39 pm

We have had a good 2 weeks of the speed contest especially this past week (#6).

Congrats to:

Billy Bordy for winning week 5 with a speed of 59.0mph on skis at Strawberry, UT and our new list leader, Bob Randolph for a blazing top speed of 64.9mph on Mission Lake in Montana. You can see Bob's video and the whole list on: http://www.stormboarding.com/speedranking1011.html

Billy won a Peter Lynn beanie and Bob a Dakine beanie to stay warm in between blistering runs.

Last week, we had a lot of entries including Anders Marklund's buggy run from Stockholm and a personal best from Ken Claussen in Ohio.

Keep those entries coming, you never know when a run in the 20's will take it and now Bob, Billy and Chris cannot take the prizes (however fast they go).

Ride safe.

Think snow,

Yeah we definately have some better lakes if I feel like making the drive. That lake we were on is pretty close and would work a lot better in a northwest wind-two mile reaches instead of a half mile or so.
It's hard to drive three hours to go skitter around on a flat lake when we can drive three hours in a different direction and find powder and terrain!
