Looks like the forecast is good above Silverton, CO for the rest of the week. The Windzup van is heading South to score some backcountry Snowkiting, after todays session at Skyline.
Chasta has the maps and is riding shotgun to navigate us in. The Glickster has the spots dialed, and the weather Gods are smiling (I hope).
Maybe a detour to the Creede area after???
If you are in SW CO, come join us as we follow Chasta around some big hills.
Windzup,
Brian Schenck

Sweet Brian, thanks for the head's up. There are 2-3 of us up here in Salida (just two hours from Creede) and we'd love to cross paths if possible. Try to keep throwing out the updates this week and we'll find you guys if the wind blows down South.

Three of us headed down from Salida and hit up that valley near Rito Hondo Reservoir on Sunday. We rolled into the empty parking lot at noon and were greeted by an Ozone windsock...a good sign. Winds were light from the South but did an abrupt 180 degree switch to the north and filled in to 10-15 mph. We spent the next four hours playing in a foot of fresh snow on our 12m Frenzies. What a freaking playground that place is!! So many hills to ride up and down as well as multiple hills of varying heights to slowly work up your boosting confidence on. If powder was your cup of tea, it was bottomless in the valley floor near the creek.
Thanks for the earlier post Brian, glad to have this one on our radar. We really blew it though, no pics...ouch.

Glad to hear Rito Hondo turned on for you! That place is fun, and I think it blows there more often than we may know.
Hope to meet up on the next round.
