Hi eutanator, here is the information:
Medium temperature in August is around 25 C.
Medium temparature in September is around 20 C.
Wind speed: in the past few weeks the wind has been blowing around 3 times per week. In september chances are better that you will have good wind, but you can never know. Mostly you will need a big kite, 16m.
KITE BEACH: 95% of hungarian kiters go to the beaches between Szabadi-furdo and Szabadi-Sosto. This is on the southern shore of the lake; do not even consider kiting on the north shore!
I am there every weekend. If you need additional information you can also mail me under:

Ciao,
Greg

Hi,
I´ve been at Balaton Boglar and siofok - thats on the eastcoast. I preeferred this place because of the onshore conditions and the possibility to have flat water with about 200 to 500 meters where you can walk. The wind also seemed not to be very gusty.

Siofok is not good for kitesurfing because it's very crowded in summer, however we have huge kitesurf spot near Siófok with big grass beach and shallow water here :http://balatoni-strand.clubaliga.hu/szorf-center But the wind is not predictable at all.

It is a sporadic place as far as the wind goes. The water is ok warm May thru September.
Probably kiteable 20-30% of the time. It is definitely not a kiteboarding destination.
