That are lots of bits of info dotted around online. We plan to put together an article soon which will clearly outline all the spots, their locations and when best to rider there, as we found it tricky to know about all the spots (and I've been here 6 times before).

That would be awesome Rob, a spot guide to Tarifa is well overdue (drop me a dm on twitter if your still around and we can meet up for that coffee and maybe I can help you with that article...TantrumKitesurf on twitter) there are tonnes of great spots around Tarifa most of which are little known, because people don't realise they're there Tarifa gets written off as a high wind, for experts only location which is pretty unfair really.

The lagoon M_Mati comes in with the spring tides or when we have strong Poniente (westerly) winds and forms at the mouth of the Rio Jara river on Los Lances, with a good tide it's massive and lasts for around 4-6 hours each high tide.

Thanks :D

Could you recommend me some company which rent cars? Because some of them are not clear with the insurance. Other one don't give you permission to use a car outside Andalusia province so we could not go to Gibraltar.

To be honest it's doubtful you'd want to take a car into Gibraltar, the border queue is a nightmare and parking in Gib is only for the brave!

I've used Auriga Crown in the past, cheap, efficient easy and can be easily in found in La Linea when you cross over.

Anyone in Tarifa? The wind forecasts have been overwhelming the past week. Should I believe them?

Tarifa is absolutely going off at the moment!!! We've had an entire month of Levante (Easterly) with a lot of South in it so its been constant and much cleaner than usual and sitting at a beautiful 20 knots most days. We've been out every day except 2 for the last 5 weeks and it looks set to continue with that forecast...of course I've just put the kiss of death on it by saying that but at the moment its amazing!!

Just come off the beach now and perfect 7m weather again today...spoiled rotten!!!

Looks like epic Poniente on Tuesday, so anywhere on Los Lances should be great, also had a big storm overnight so with a bit of luck the lagoon will be in....hit los lances at chiringuito aqua (best bar on the beach), turn left and just keep walking. If the lagoons in you'll see a some kites apparently kiting on the beach in front of you...if you can see this get excited

If there's no lagoon you've pretty much got the whole beach to choose from sometimes the winds better on los lances sometimes valdevaqueros, just follow the kites and you wont go far wrong.
