Portugal in July

Postby psyho » Mon May 16, 2011 10:30 pm

We are planing to go to Portugal in July.
What is the wind and temperature situation in that time of the year?

Where is the best way to stay?

We are looking for flat lagoons for some freestyle. On the photos they look amazing, how is in the real life?
:D

in portugal you have 2 nice lagoons near cascais....

you have lagoa de albufeira, and obidos... if theres no wind you could go peddle in fonde de telha these plases are really nice.

the temperature in july is rreally hot, youll need a lycra for not bearning, en a swimshort ofcourse.

a nice place to stay is probably cascais because there are a lot of things to do , and its 1 hour from everyspot. if you want to stay a bit closer to 1 lagoon and the sea, you should go look in nova vaga, its near the sea with nice people, but like nothing to do compared to cascais.

in cascais you have: big malls , possebilitys to go out, train possebilitys , big big supermarket + nice restaurants and good doktors.

i hope this is anoff!:D

between Lagos and Alvor there is a pretty cool Lagoon "Ria de Alvor"
its around 15 min by car from Lagos where you can find good (and if you are lucky, cheap) accomodation, renting kite-equipment overt there also is not a problem

cheers :thumb:

Anyone knows if its really not allowed to kite in summer in the Lagoa de Obidos? Owner of one kite center in Peniche said that it is possible to kite in one part of the lagoon. I just want to make sure before I travel there :)
