60 competitors from 23 nations and 5 continents registered for Course Racing Worlds
Only a little less than one month to go until the first competition day of the 2011 Kite Course Racing World Championships in Sylt, Germany, and 60 of the worlds finest course racers from 23 nations representing 5 continents have already registered so far.
The event will be held from June 27 (registration day) till July 3rd (prize giving) and offers a 15000 Euro prize money fund as well as important points for the world ranking.
Registrations are still coming in and the remaining slots are filling up quickly. All eyes are set to a tight battle between the pre-dominant North American competitors from the past years and the strong European fleet, more used to the conditions on the windy little island in the north sea. Also some interesting entries from South America pomise to make racing very interesting.
Event registration is still open following this link:

That's all very nice... but maybe someone has a contact how to reach the organizers???
I've been trying to reach them via contact column on their page (
www.kitesurftour.eu) but nobody answers...
I just wanted to know if one could register for freestyle while not being ranked by previuos events? I mean they stayted that there are still 7 slots for freestyle available, but it's unclear, for whom???
Also, where can I see that I'm already registred for course racing and my fee is payed? There was a robot-confirmation after filling out the registration form, but nothing more...
Thanks for any help!

Just asking. Spent a lot of Winter breaks in Cartagena over the years and was thinking about going with winter and wanted to see if I should bring a raceboard.

oh I see. good stuff. you can always bring your raceboard if you want. good spots also around Cartagena to practice. But IMO, San Andres island is one of the best.
