Addition to the race management policies for the 2011 racing worlds
The high number of registrations might make it necessary to split the fleet into flights with separate starts. This requires the introduction of an additional course that might be used in this case.
This additional course will be the standard trapezoid course, with one flight running on the outer loop and one flight running on the inner loop, allowing for two fleets racing at the same time.

I guess that some Masters and juniors are racing for the KTE event and will be on the same start line as open class riders

nope, they already had a masters and juniors world championship...this is MEN and WOMEN.
140 participants? so they gonna split that somehow..still wondering how, since this drawing looks like the start of one fleet only?

This is a 2 lap race.
Start goto 1 the back down 2 (lap 1)
then back up to 1 then to 3 to 4 to Finish (lap2)
No way a RC could deal with 2 racing going on at the same time and score correctly for anyone after the 2nd rider.

This is pretty standard for large fleets at dinghy regattas. Each day the fleet is split into two groups, or flights. There are two options for race management:
1. One flight races the inner trapezoid, while the other flight races the outer.
2. One flight races while the other flight is on the beach, switch half way through the day.
Inner trapezoid: Start:1:2:1:3:4:Finish
Outer trapezoid: Start:1:3:4:3:4:Finish
It works with 300 Optis... so should work with 140 kites, although the speed difference throughout the fleet is probably much greater.

Seems like a big mess to me...
I only counted 69 people for CR when the entry list was online, are there already 140???
